Prestigious Emerging Payments Awards 2019 finalists announced

70 finalists for the Emerging Payments Awards have been announced at the EP@Home Summer Party at The Sterling Bar and Restaurant in London

London, UK. 9th July 2019 – The Emerging Payments Awards is back in its twelfth year and will take place at the InterContinental London – The O2 on Thursday 3rd October. The Awards will host more than 850 guests, including the industry’s most senior decision-makers from across the globe. With a significant increase in entries this year, the ceremony is bound to be a sell-out.

Twenty categories were announced early this year, including five new ones. Entries received comprise of 41% of EPA members and 59% of other payments companies within the industry, with 32% of the overall total from outside the UK. Popular categories include Best International Payments, Remittance or use of FX, Best Customer Facing Experience, Leading Financial Services or Payments Start-Up to name a few.

Submissions were judged by an elite panel of international judges, chaired by John Chaplin and finalists were announced at the Emerging Payments Association’s Summer Party in London. The judges were particularly impressed with the diversity of submissions from all over the world. The final category, for “Emerging Payments Industry Contributor of the Year” will be judged separately, with the winner also announced at the ceremony in October.

“The Emerging Payments Awards recognises the organisations that are making a real difference to how the payments business operates and evolves. We look for the best of the best organisations and they are judged by the smartest, most connected people in the industry from different backgrounds and countries who are our judging panel. We also are determined to be the most professionally awards programme in the payments industry,” emphasised Chaplin.
